This Lip Balm is soft, smooth, creamy, & moisturizing all in one little tube.

My tinted balm is exactly that tinted lip balm, i use the same recipe as my regular balms, but add more of the coloring in order to get a slight tinted hue with a gloss. I do not like the cakey feeling of lipstick so for me this is the bomb.... I hope you feel the same.

To Use: (All) Apply to lips as often as desired. For all skin types.

Titanium, the ninth most common element in the Earth’s crust, is a metal commonly found in plants and animals. Titanium naturally interacts with oxygen to form titanium oxides, commonly found in ores, indigenous dusts, sands and soils. Many people are familiar with titanium dioxide as an active ingredient in sunscreen. Titanium dioxide works as a UV filtering ingredient in sunscreen – it helps protect a person’s skin by blocking absorption of the sun’s ultraviolet light that can cause sunburn and is also linked to skin cancer. Titanium dioxide becomes transparent to visible light while serving as an efficient UV light absorber. Because the particle size is so small, nano-titanium dioxide does not reflect visible light, but does absorb UV light, enabling a transparent barrier that protects the skin from the sun’s harmful rays. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, using sunscreens containing titanium dioxide can help prevent the occurrence of skin cancer.

Titanium dioxide is used to absorb UV radiation to protect the skin.

Unlike other compounds used in sunscreens, which may absorb only a part of the UV radiation, titanium dioxide is extremely efficient at protecting against all aspects of UV light that can affect skin – absorbing and scattering both UVA and UVB rays. Despite the safety benefits, sunbathers often don’t want a white layer of cream spread over their bodies. It can feel uncomfortable and doesn’t look great. Sunscreens available today can use special grades of titanium dioxide to get around this problem. In nanoparticle form it still protects by absorbing UV radiation, but unlike larger particle titanium dioxide it is transparent rather than white. So i decided to add it to my balms using pastel coloring.
